Usher Raymond May Lose His Parental Custody Over Sons

After losing a child to a boat accident last year, R&B singer Usher Raymond is under fire again, for not being able to protect his other two children.

The singer’s ex wife, Tameka Foster has filed for an emergency custody hearing over her two sons she had with the singer. Apparently, Usher wasn’t home when his 5 year old son, Usher Raymond V accidentally fell into his dad’s pool. According to reports, the child was trying to retrieve a toy that was trapped in an underwater pool drain. Eye witnesses claim, the boy almost drowned because his arm got stuck in the drain while he was beneath the water. He was however rushed to hospital where he got stabled.

Tameka’s legal representative, Angela Kinley maintains that, ‘the child is at risk while in the care of a third-party caregiver…while his father (Usher) travels around the world for his work-related activities.”

However, the kid was saved by some two male contractors who were working at the house when his aunt and the housekeeper couldn’t help. Tameka who divorced Usher in 2009, immediately filed for custody saying her children’s lives are at stake under the father’s care.

The emergency hearing is scheduled for Friday.

BrymO gets new manager, boycotts Chocolate City to sign new deal

He might still have contractual issues with his record label but BrymO seems to be moving on…

The Pop singer has apparently signed a new distribution deal with digital distribution company Spinlet. According to a tweet from Spinlet, the company will be digitally distributing BrymO’s next album.

The deal was signed some sometime last week, apparently without the knowledge of his current record label Chocolate City which he says he’s parted ways with.

A rep from Spinlet also confirmed the deal. When asked if they had contacted Chocolate City before the signing, the rep said no but then explained that it was an individual deal.

BrymO has also signed a deal with budding management company The Bail Music Company. Headed by long time friend Lanre Lawal, the company will now be handling his managerial affairs formerly managed by manager Samuel Lolo.

‘Yes I’m now working with BrymO. He’s been a longtime friend of mine‘, Lanre Lawal told NET over the phone, explaining that they hooked up some months ago. As per how Chocolate City would react to BrymO’s new deal with Spinlet, Lawal said he would rather not comment on that.

Chocolate City says they heard about the distribution deal signing and that they will be looking into the matter. To what extent we cannot tell. ‘We have instructed our lawyers to take appropriate action‘, Choc City boss Audu Maikori said, responding to our E-mail.

BrymO on May 28, 2013 announced he had parted ways with Chocolate City, the label which he signed with in 2011. Chocolate City iists the Pop singer is till signed to them.

Six men set ablaze in Ogun state for smoking Indian hemp

According to Premium Times, six young men accused of smoking Indian hemp and gambling have been set ablaze in Abeokuta, Ogun State, by a house owner in their area. The landlord, identified as Agba, in Ago-Oko area of the town where the incident occurred, had warned the boys on several occasions to desist from their acts, warnings they ignored.

And one day, just this past Tuesday night August 6th, Agba felt he was god and decided to punish the guys. See what he did to them after the cut...
*Viewer Discretion Advised*

On Tuesday night, while the boys were once again together, smoking and gambling in the building next to his, Agba poured a keg of petrol through his window on the first floor of a storey building on the boys.

The already lighted Indian hemp was flamed by the petrol causing a major fire that burnt the boys causing severe injury. The victims, Saburi Seteolu, Raheem Bello, Tunde Adesanya, Suleiman Adebesin, Azeez Alabi, and Kola Sodehinde, are currently receiving treatment in a state hospital.

The landlord, a commercial cab driver in the town, has been arrested as confirmed by the Ogun State Police Command.

Level don change | Whatsapp upgrade, adds voice messages to chat app

Whatsapp is adding the ability to record and send voice messages to its smartphone chat software.

The move will help it compete against Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Voxer and BBM which already offer the function.

California-based Whatsapp has said 300 million people now use its app at least once a month.

One analyst said the addition of voice messages should help the firm boost its popularity in parts of the developing world.

“In south-east Asia, for example India and China, and parts of Africa voice messages are popular as an alternative to typing on phones’ English-style keyboards,” Neha Dharia, an analyst at telecoms consultancy Ovum told the BBC.

“Also in markets where literacy is low ,Whatsapp will do much better with this service.”

Whatsapp is adding the new function to its apps for the iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone and Nokia S40 platforms.

This is an unusual move as developers tend to prioritise Apple and Google’s operating systems ahead of the others.

The firm makes money by charging users an annual 0.99 cent (64p) fee.

Voice calls

Whatsapp is not putting any duration limit on voice messages sent.

It has designed its software so that recordings automatically play through headphones if they are plugged in, or otherwise through the phone’s earpiece when the device is placed next to a user’s head and through the speakerphone if held away.

Message creators can also see when their recording has been listened to.

The app still lacks the ability to host interactive voice or video conversations, which is possible on Microsoft’s Skype and Blackberry’s BBM apps. However, Whatsapp works across more platforms.

“This can also be seen as Whatsapp testing the water for Voip [voice over internet protocol] calls at a later stage,” added Ms Dharia.

“That is complicated as different countries have different regulations that it would need to follow. So, Whatsapp might decide its strategy based on the places where it can see voice messages prove most popular.”

ASUU strike: President, Suswam, ministers in crucial meeting

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met behind closed-doors with Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State and some key ministers over the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Suswam is the Chairman of the National Economic Empowerment Development Strategy Assessment Implementation Committee of the universities.
Others, who attended the meeting, included the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqqayat Rufa'i; and the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu.
The meeting, which was held inside the President's office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, lasted for a few hours.
No official statement was made available at the end of the meeting.
Okonjo-Iweala and Suswam left the premises, using a gate that allowed them to evade journalists' that might have wanted to ask questions.
Wogu, who was initially walking towards the Press Gallery, quickly made a detour when he sighted journalists waiting for him and left through the same gate that the minister and the governor had passed through earlier.
Rufa'i, however, walked into the journalists' ambush before she realised it.
She initially declined comments on the meeting but when pressed further, she said the government was on course in its negotiation with ASUU.
The minister, however, appealed to the striking union to call off the industrial action in the interest of the nation.
"I have not been mandated to speak to journalists on the matter but I can tell you that we are on course. I will only appeal to ASUU to call off the strike in the interest of the nation," she said.
Meanwhile, ASUU on Monday foreclosed an early resolution of the industrial crisis rocking the nation's university system as the union insisted that it would not call of its industrial action until all its demands were met by the Federal Government.
The President of ASUU, Nasir Fagge, insisted that the union was resolute in sustaining the ongoing strike action to ensure that the topical issues affecting the nation's university system tackled decisively once and for all.
He said it was inconceivable for the union to call of the strike without achieving the objectives of the action only to call another one later.
The ASUU President, who made the comment while speak with journalists at the Benue State Governor's Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, said the union decided to continue with the strike because of the failure of the government to address the issues raised after previous industrial actions were called off.

"I am ripe for marriage" - Beverly

Well Beverly sure can hear them. This evening the young Ruby revealed to her fellow Housemates that she plans on getting hitched next year, saying: "I am ripe for marriage". "But you are too young," Cleo tried to advise the 21 year old. But that piece of advice seemed to go in the one ear and out the other for the Nigerian. "I am tired of having boyfriend," she responded.

The fact that the sexy model is not currently engaged and has only recently taken up a relationship with, South African Housemate, Angelo is not going to deter her one bit from her mission either. When asked by her fellow Housemates what she would do if the South African does not want to tie the know next year, she replied: "There are lots of other fish in the sea". Wowzer, this is a lady on a mission!

"If likes it then he should have put a ring on it". Those are the lyrics to the hit song by Beyoncé and it also seems to the life motto that Beverly is adopting. What do you think; is Beverly serious about this whole marriage business?

Cleo, Dillish and Feza are up for possible Eviction this week.

Court dissolves 2-yr-old marriage over lack of child

The petitioner told the court that her husband and his relatives were in the habit of blaming her for the inability to bear a child. “My husband and his relatives had threatened to divorce me if the marriage did not produce a child,’’ she said.

According to her, the marriage was contracted in 2011 and was yet to produce any child. “My Lord, I want an end to this marriage because I am fed up with my husband’s constant threats,’’ she said. The respondent did not object to the prayer of his wife, saying she was free to go as it pleased her.

“I see no reason in enduring with a woman who cannot conceive in her marital home,’’ he said. He prayed the court to grant the prayer of his wife without any claim. The presiding judge, Mr Yusuf Abdulkareem, dissolved the marriage and issued a certificate of divorce to the plaintiff. (NAN)
An Ilorin Area Court on Tuesday dissolved the two-year-old marriage between one Munirat Idowu and her husband, Wahab, over lack of a child in the union. Munirat, 28, a resident of Ipata area of Ilorin, had prayed the court to dissolve her marriage to Wahab due to the absence of a child in the marriage.

Drama as 21-yr-old accused asks magistrate for food..

LAGOS The magistrate’s court sitting in Yaba, Lagos, yesterday, witnessed a mild drama following an outburst by one of the arraigned suspects.

The incident occurred during the hearing of a two-count felony charge brought against the suspect, Tunde Balogun (21), who instead of pleading to the charges, brought out some drugs from his pocket as he cried to the magistrate: “Please Ma, I have been on these drugs since Saturday. I am not feeling okay. I have not had anything to eat since morning. Please Ma, if you can help me, just give me something so that I can swallow these drugs.”

This prompted the magistrate to halt the session for some minutes to ascertain the health condition of the accused from the Prosecuting Officer who brought him to court. It was then revealed that it was a strategy to distract the court session.

After the second charge was read, the accused remained silent for a while, after which he told the magistrate: “I heard what you said, but I don’t know anything about the charges you just read to me. I am not guilty of the charges. I am not feeling very fine, please I need to take these medications I bought from the chemist since Saturday.”

It was further revealed by some witnesses at the hearing that a previous case of felony and assault committed against a young lady in February 2013, was struck out in court last Friday, but instead of turning a new leaf, the accused who is a son of a retired court official, committed another felony the next day.

According to a witness,“he is unrepentant and this has caused his father, who is a retired court registrar, so much pain.”

When asked reasons for misbehaving during the hearing, the accused told our reporter: “Truly, I am innocent of the charge against me. That evening, I went with one of my friends to purchase some drugs at a chemist, and suddenly we heard people shouting and running after some young men.

“In confusion, we joined them, but before I knew what was happening, they mobbed me. They broke a bottle on my head in the process. Look at the wound,” he said, showing off a wounded back of his head.

ASUU orders members in Universities to reject Post-UTME results, candidates

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has asked its members in the institutions where post-UME examinations were conducted during the ongoing strike, to reject the results and admission of candidates.
This information was passed across in Strike Bulletins five and three, which was signed by its National President, Dr. Nasir Isa.
In the bulletin, the Union recommended that members who took part in the exercise, should be queried and reported to the National Strike Coordinating Committee.
The bulletin read in part: “Members are hereby mandated immediately to query members who have broken the ongoing strike by participating in post-UTME screening, attendance of meetings including Council meeting, retreat of Governing Council in Abuja etc. A copy of the query should be sent to NSCC.
“Our union insists that post-UTME screening is, for all intents and purposes an examination. Our members through senate must reject admission of students with such examinations that have not been appropriately supervised by academics.”
ASUU also took a shot at the National Universities Commission, accusing it of threatening Vice-Chancellors of Universities with accreditation, while the strike is on.
“Prevail on our VCs to resist the antics and gimmicks of the NUC Secretary. Do not be used to embark on any sham accreditation during the period of the national strike. Our union will do everything possible to nullify and such accreditation conducted within the period of the strike,” he continued.
“NUC has recently made essentially false publications meant to distort the goal of our strike, and has organised sham accreditation visits to the University of Abuja. Our Union has condemned the damaging role of NUC in the university system and has resolved to expose the dramatis personae in the persistence of unpatriotic dispositions at play.”

ASUU strike: NANS exco disowns president

Executive members of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, have disowned the national president, Mr. Yinka Gbadebo, on his support for the Federal Government in the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.Some members of the executive told newsmen, yesterday, that students were largely unbiased in the crisis and the inclination of Mr. Gbadebo to support the government was a deviation from the students’ collective goal of resolving the crisis. The executive members who included national assistant secretary general, Ali Mohammed , the national sports director, Talib Abubakar Gumel, director of travels and exchange, Olusegun Oyebisi, said there was no consultation on the issues before Gbadebo declared NANS support for the Federal Government. The students also dissociated NANS as a body from the ongoing face off between officials of the Federal Government and the Rivers State government saying that their president did not have any right to speak on the issue.“The national president did not have our mandate to support the federal government over the strike as we are a neutral body. We do not support either the federal government or ASUU because it is the students that bear the brunt of the strike,” Ali who spoke on behalf of his colleagues said yesterday.“We call on ASUU and the Federal Government to resolve the issue within seven days so that the students can return to their campuses.”“We do not understand why the national president should support the federal government or what concerns students with what is happening between the Rivers State governor and the President. The matter is between the two of them it does concern the students.”

ALLEGED DEADLY ATTACK BY FIANCE..

“I need justice. My case was unjustly closed by the police!” That was the persistent cry of Mary Sunday, a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, on whom a pot of stew and the kerosene stove, upon which it was boiling, were allegedly thrown at by her fiancé, a serving officer of the Nigeria Police, Corporal Isaac Gbanwuan. The incident, which left Mary with grievous bodily harm including the loss of her two ears with her upper neck glued to her arms, led to two surgeries while she needs N5million to undergo another in India. The victim said she was on the verge of being recruited into the police before trouble began when her fiancé was allegedly diagnosed with low sperm count, lamenting that she has been unjustly treated by the police and denied access to justice.

As a result of the medical report, Gbanwuan allegedly became aggressive and suspicious. An argument which arose from his suspicion of a telephone call Mary received on August 24, 2012, became the last straw that broke the camel’s back.“On our way home from hospital on that fateful day, an argument ensued over a telephone call I received. He didn’t want to believe the call was from my sister.
The argument degenerated and Isaac started beating me by the time we got home. When I could no longer take the kicking and dragging, I tried to escape the scene and I ran to the second floor of the building where we resided at Pedro Barracks, Shomolu, Lagos.

We had actually done our introduction and were preparing to get married. He pursued me and I ran to a kitchen on the second floor to escape. He however broke the kitchen door. In a fit of rage, he carried the cooking stove of the neighbor, with boiling stew on it, and poured all the content on my body. The stove exploded, setting me on fire”, Mary said. The Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Damascus Ozoani, in a newspaper report, dated February 18, 2013, however cleared Gbanwuan of the allegation on the grounds that the police had carried out and closed investigation on the matter. In the report, the police described the condition of Mary as a self-inflicted one.“The allegation that Gbanwuan assaulted Sunday is misleading. This case has been investigated by the Provost Office of the command. The police have taken statements from Mary, Gbanwuan and other eye witnesses at the Pedro Police Barracks. The Lagos State Police Command is not insensitive. I can tell you that, at this moment, the Commissioner of Police is interested in this case and has passed instructions to the Provost to conclude investigations”, Ozoani was quoted as saying. However, Mary, who was until June 2013 on admission at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, said the police did not at any time visit her to get information from her after a complaint was lodged by one of her relatives.

When contacted, Gbanwuan, who did not deny knowing Mary, refused discussing the subject. Foremost human rights activist, Dr.(Mrs.)Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, Executive Director, Women Advocates Research & Documentation Centre-WARDC, suspects a bias in the matter.“One would wonder why a woman who was running for her dear life and seeking help and assistance from neighbours would suddenly become suicidal and inflict such wanton harm on herself. Beyond this investigation, Mary has no other option of redress since the police have closed investigation on her case”, Abiola, who decried the insensitivity of the police towards issues of domestic violence, said. She continued: “We suspect there is an attempt to subdue the case because of the multiple conflicts of interest associated with the matter. We believe that the Lagos State Police Command has been hasty in coming to the conclusion and that the newspaper report affirms the bias of the police on this matter. We believe that the response was also to cover up the several violations that take place at various police barracks. Also, the fact that this abuse took place at the police barracks, to us, is enough reason for the Lagos police to cover up. We would have expected that the police would have, in accordance with the criminal law in the country, subjected Corporal Isaac to a court of law before an unbiased umpire of this case, so that justice can be seen as done.”Abiola, who lamented the continued violence against women with perpetrators going unpunished, regretted that several other issues of domestic violence had got stuck at the police without victims getting justice.“We’ve written twice to the Police Service Commission but got no response.
We’ve also written to the Lagos State House of Assembly from whom we’re yet to get an acknowledgement. To us as human rights activists, we’re getting convinced that despite its domestic violence laws, the state is not interested in reducing violence against women. We’re therefore planning to do a petition to the African Commission and the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Violence and Discrimination against Women – CEDAW, on this matter, to state that the Nigerian government has failed in the protection of women’s rights.”

GTBank, AFC, Mainstream sign $170m deal to finance Kainji Power.

Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, NSE and multilateral financial institution, Africa Finance Corporation, AFC, have provided a US$170 million (N27.2 billion) facility to Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited Consortium, MESL, for the acquisition of Kainji Power station, one of the former assets of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.The signing of the syndicated acquisition facility took place at GTBank corporate head office in Lagos over the weekend.Speaking at the signing ceremony, Col. Sani Bello, Chairman, MESL, said that the facility is for the purpose of part- financing the concession of Jebba Power station and Kainji Hydro Electric Plc.According to him, “The financing represents an important milestone for the economy in its bids to play a key role in the power sector reform initiative of the Federal Government. We appreciate the support of GTBank and AFC for providing the required financing to support the company’s vision to manage and restore the nation’s foremost hydro power plants .We must also acknowledged the significant contribution of the Federal Government of Nigeria , the Federal Ministry of Power , the National Council on Privatisation , the Bureau of Public Enterprises and the regulatory agencies , who have together created an enabling environment for this acquisition.”Commenting on the deal, Chief Executive Officer, GTBank, Mr. Segun Agbaje said that the financing underpins the lenders belief in, and support for, the ambition and the long term growth of the company, and by extension, the growth of the Nigerian Power sector to further catalyse the Nigerian economy. This is our own little way of contributing to the development of the economy. All the parties involved in this deal are credible in terms of meeting the various terms , so we are cautious in whatever we do. I congratulate Mainstream Energy for taking this bold step.”In hs own comment, Andrew Alli , President & Chief Executive Officer of the AFC said “ The lender’s investment in Kainji Hydro Electric Plc will contribute towards reducing Nigeria’s chronic power deficit, foster economic growth and create employment.”The debt financing facility, according to a statement by the AFC, will enable MESL — the preferred bidder of Kainji Power — to acquire the hydro-electric plants of the company with a combined capacity of 1,338 mega watts, representing about 25 per cent total electricity supplied to the national grid. The power plants are the Kainji Hydroelectric power plant and Jebba Hydroelectric power plant located in the Kainji and Jebba regions of Northern Nigeria, within the confluence of the River Niger.According to the statement, AFC together with GTBank, is a mandated co-arranger of the acquisition facility, providing an aggregate commitment of US$68 million (N10.88 billion) to the MESL consortium.

MEN, beat your woman in Lagos and go to jail.

There's a new Domestic Violence Law in Lagos State, and it states that if you beat your wife, you will go to Jail. It is now an offense for any man to hit his wife.

According to the deputy governor of Lagos State, Hon Joke Orelope-Adefulire, the Domestic Violence Law is made not only to protect women who are most times the target of violence in the home but also to safeguard the interest of men, children, servants, maids and everyone who may be a victim of domestic violence.

In case of man/woman abuse issues, it does not matter whether there's a valid contracted marriage between the victim and the perpetrator of the act as long as they are living together in a home setting. Continue...

Here's what happens when there's a case of domestic violence.
1. Remove the abuser from the home pending when the abuse is corrected
2. Or remove the complainant from the residence and put in a protective home
3. Provision of financial assistance by the state via the Office of the Public Defender/Legal Aid Council to victims of abuse who maybe financially unable to seek redress in court.
4. The court can issue warrant of arrest and remand order
.

WOMEN WOULD SO LOVE THIS.

Olamide Parted ways with his Manager "Tony Nwakalor" @olamide_ybnl

NET investigations revealed the pair stopped working together, following commitment issues from both parties..

A source close to the rapper told us he became unsatisfied with Nwakalor's commitment to his career.

'Olamide seemed to have lost confidence in Tony because since working with D'banj, Tony seemed to be more committed to D'banj than him and it doesn't work like that', said the source.

Olamide's new manager who gave her name simply as Rachel, confirmed the situation, but declined giving further details.

'Do you actually expect me to tell you that something happened? Nothing happened, he just changed management and that's all.'

When reached for comments, Nwakalor asked our reporter to call back later and then did not pick up his calls when we later tried to reach him.

D'banj hired Tony Nwakalor who also manages actress Tonto Dikeh just two months ago.

The Yes Records boss replaced D'Banj's former friend-manager Abisagboola Oluseun John, popularly known as Bankulli.

Nwakalor who now runs 1805 Entertainment and Olamide started working together in August, 2011 after the rapper stopped working with his former manager, Toni Payne.

The hotel in Onitsha where 2 human heads were allegedly discovered

This is the popular hotel in Onitsha that was demolished by the Anambra State government last week after two human skulls were allegedly discovered inside. The hotel, called Upper Class Hotel, is located at 8 Old Market Road, Onitsha and is owned by business man, Mr Bonaventure Mokwe.

The human skulls, a male and a female head, were discovered after the Nigerian police raided the hotel following a tip off. Mr Mokwe has been arrested
along with 10 other people

His wife, Mrs Nkiru Mokwe, a lawyer, has appealed to president Jonathan to save her husband's life claiming he was set up. She said the whole thing was a set up and the human heads planted in the hotel by people who wanted to destroy her husband.

“My husband is being detained in a very dehumanising condition at SARS, Awkuzu, and the police have denied him access to his lawyer and relations." She said "My husband’s hotel at No 8, Old Market Road, Onitsha which he inherited from his father, Chief G.C Mokwe, has been demolished"
She said her husband was a real estate magnate and there were lots of conflicts over ownership of lands between him and some people which led to his attempted assassination in 2009. She also alleged that the state government was planning to demolish other properties belonging to Mr Mokwe and begged for intervention.

Gay pastor jail over sex with male members in Benin City

The Founder and General Overseer of a Pentecostal Church in Benin City, Pastor Phillip Ogbebor is now an unusual inmate at the federal medium security prison, Oko after a magistrate courtordered that he be remanded for having sex with male members of his Church.
Surprisingly, the randy pastor of Breakthrough Ministries, Owina Street, off Sakponba road Benin city, neither denied the allegation of homosexuality levelled against him by the parents of one of his victims nor blamed the devil as many culprits will do. Instead, he told Saturday Sun that “I am only passing through temptation. I only did it four timeswith the man who is 22 years old and a regular member of my church. I can’t claim that it was the devil’s influence , let God decide my case.”
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Foluso Ayodeji Adebanjo told Saturday Sun that the Pastor was apprehended recently by men of the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Edo state police command following a complaint lodged by the father of one of his victims. Trouble started when the victim who had been put under an oath of secrecy by the pastor decided to report his ordeal to his parents who in turn decided to inform the police.
The victim who doesn’t want his name in print told Saturday Sun that he has been unduly harassed by Pastor Ogbebor since 2007 when he was only fifteen years old and that he made him to take several oaths of secrecy in order not to reveal the secret to anybody.
He further said that the suspect threatened to kill him if he disclosed the act to anyone.
According to him, “each time, I told him it is painful and that I don’t want to do it again. I told him I will tell my parents but he forced me to take oath saying if I ever tell anyone I will not live to see the next day”
He furthered revealed how Ogbebor mixed olive oil with sand and robbed it on his head while chanting incantations in an unusual language and casting spells on him, with an emphasis on the fact that if he tells anybody he would die like a fowl. He said to buttress his threat he gave him the liver and gizzard of chicken to eat saying these acts were usually performed at 12.00 midnight under the guise of a night vigil.
The victim who said he is a regular member of Pastor Ogbebor’s church said he was disturbed by his deteriorating health and was forced to narrate his ordeal to another pastor.
He said the man of God advised him to report the bad conduct of Pastor Ogbebor before the congregation which he did but Ogbebor was said to have denied it before the congregation. After the confession by the victim to the congregation, his father who is also a member of the church promptly confronted Pastor Ogbebor on the matter and as the issue was degenerating into rowdiness in the church, Pastor Ogbebor was said to have confessed to the crime and pledged to take the victim who has been battling with spiritual and health challenges to the hospital for medical treatment.
It was at that stage that the father of the victim who was in shock over the development reported the matter to the police for proper investigation.
Speaking to Saturday Sun, the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Foluso Ayodeji Adebanjo commended the SCID Benin under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police J. Ibim for a good job done.
He sai d the suspect will soon be charged to court after the completion of investigation.
The police boss had about three weeks ago paraded Pastor Ogbebor along with 25 other crime suspects at the command headquarters, Benin city.
Saturday Sun however gathered that the 42 year old randy pastor has been arraigned before a Magistrate court in Benin city on a charge bordering on indecent assault contrary to Sections 214(1) and 353 of the constitution respectively.
The Magistrate was said to have ordered his detention at the Oko medium security prison in the state capital pending the commencement of trial.

Worn Out? 6 Things You Can Do After S*x

The norm most times is that after that wow sexual experience, partners resort to cuddling and in most cases they fall asleep.

Question is who falls asleep first? And what does it say about the relationship? We say: Who cares? Who's sleeping after sex? We wouldn't dare nod off afterwards and waste the best moments of in life in soporific unconsciousness. Blasphemous! Not to mention boring!

There are more interesting ways to spend post-sex moments.

1. Eat
Take advantage of this rare moment where you're not worried if the bed gets messy. That means food in bed! A nice snack always hits the spot after a furtive session.

2. Clean
Not just clean yourself, clean your environment. As strange as that sounds don't you have a crazy burst of energy right after sex? Affirmative is the answer. So with all that energy, do chores you normally hate and do them with a smile. Like put all the laundry away or vacuum the living room or shred mail.

3. Go Social
Cruise Face-book, Twitter, instagram accounts together and laugh about people's lame status updates. This is a wonderful form of bonding that involves no spooning whatsoever. After every status update, laugh conspiratorially with your sex partner.

4. Shower together
Sex is a dirty business. Get the fluids off each other right away. You know as well as we do that showers lead to shower sex so you might as well do a sequel.

5. Get creative
Draw, paint, write, play music, etc. Let the muse of sexuality work her magic on you. If it means drawing your partner go ahead

6. Capture the moments
There is nothing like recalling moments. Take photos with your partner capturing that post sex moment. Memorialize this moment as it might be a while before you find yourself here again. Hopefully, not too long.

To The Unsigned Artiste: 3 Ways To Get Noticed By Label Bosses

Everyday young and fresh talents emerge in the entertainment industry all with the aim, hope of getting heard. Hopes and dreams are dashed along this path as only the lucky ones make it to the finish point.

If you are an artiste and your aspirations are still in check here are few pointers record label bosses seek.

Have The Best Music: I know this goes without saying, but you’d be so surprised by the numbers of acts that just don’t pay enough attention to their actual music. Most people end up getting blinded by the truth, because of close friends giving them praise for the music they’re putting out. Always look for people who can give you a non-bias opinion about your sound, and don’t be afraid to take criticism.

It’s always honestly that makes you grow the most. Also, make sure your current sound is somewhat in line to what’s popular within your actual style of music. Record labels aren’t looking to go too far outside the box when it comes to their current and future signings. Always make sure that the music you’re putting out is the absolute best it can be, and if you feel like it’s not ready, just be patient and release the music when it is ready.

Have A Ton of Fans: Nothing will get a record label more excited than signing an act that has a ton of fans. Actually, if just this one area is strong, everything else can be overlooked, including having great music. However, don’t count your lucky stars that this is going to happen to you. Most of the time stories like that are made from reality show finalists and rarely translate to your everyday average up and coming music act. Regardless, acts must always try and work on building a solid and supportive fan base for their music because it’s going to be a main factor in helping the acts build their careers and eventually receive a record deal.

Be Proactive: Being proactive is underestimated and totally underused. If you’re working on growing your music career five days a week and someone else of equal talent is only putting in three, there’s no doubt who’s going to make the most moves forward to get a record deal. One of the best things an act can do to increase their chances of getting a record deal is by breaking up the responsibilities to various members of the group.

This technique ads accountability for actions and also increases the overall productivity of the bands growth. Once you start to make strides in all areas of your career, you can then be very aggressive when it comes to really learning how to get a record deal. Start off by finding the labels you would want to get signed to, learn their contact information and start being proactive by contacting them and making them aware of your music.

So now you know what to say if ever asked: how can i get a record deal.

“So far, there are only two outstanding issues, the NEEDS assessment and the earned allowances. The NEEDS assessment which I’m handling, we have virtually concluded. I think by next week, it will be definite.
“The earned allowance, the SGF is still holding meeting (with them), I believe that in the next one week, given the seriousness of the issue, we will be able to come to some level of agreement with ASUU, which will probably lead to calling off the strike.  “What we are trying to do is that all the monies that agencies and individual capacities be harnessed so that it will be well coordinated. Then we know that this is how much the Federal Government is spending on our institutions on a yearly basis, as it is now. But as things are now, nobody knows apart from the budgetary money, which is passed by the National Assembly.

NIGERIA withdraws Troops from Mali...

Nigeria will today begin withdrawal of some of its troops from Mali because they are needed back home, where the country is battling Boko Haram insurgency, spokesman of the defence headquarters, Brigadier General Chris Olukolade said in a statement.

It was not clear how many troops would be pulled from the west African nation, where Nigeria currently has some 1,000 troops.

“The defence headquarters will tomorrow (Wednesday) commence the withdrawal of some Nigerian troops from the Peace Support Operations in Mali,” it said.

“The troops are mainly those not accommodated in the structures of the newly formed United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). They are to join the ongoing internal security operations in the country.”

The action followed “the rehatting and takeover” by the UN of the mission from African-led International Support Mission in Mali (AFISMA),” it stated.

“Some of the soldiers will be redeployed immediately,” it added.

Nigeria will sustain its commitment and contribution to the Mali operation in other forms, such as input of “sizeable men and materials” to the mission, it said, without giving further details.

Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara, chair of the 15-nation west African bloc ECOWAS, told reporters earlier this month that the withdrawal was because Nigeria needed its soldiers back home.

“It’s because of the domestic situation,” Ouattara said after an ECOWAS summit in the Nigerian capital Abuja.

However, a military source had said troops would pull out because the country, which has the biggest military in west Africa, felt “shabbily treated” under the new UN force in Mali.

FG in talks with ASUU on strike...

THE Federal Government has expressed worry at the distortion in school calendar as a result of the ongoing Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, strike, saying that it is committed to the speedy resolution of the crisis for the sake of Nigerian students.
Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, told State House correspondents at the end of yesterday’s Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting that government was committed to “serious negotiations” with the university lecturers.

He appealed to students and parents to bear with government and show more understanding as efforts are being made to resolve the contending issues very soon

He said: “The Federal Government has been far more worried than you think concerning the strike in tertiary institutions, because of the disruption of the school calendar and so government is concerned and very worried.

“Since the onset of the strike, government has been negotiating with ASUU through the Ministry of Labour and Productivity and the Ministry of Education.
“We know that these negotiations are going on and it is our expectation that this strike will not get more protracted and that an understanding will be reached soon.”

How police recovered 8-month-old baby sold by grandma...

It was an emotional-filled atmosphere, yesterday, as Plateau State Police Commissioner, Mr. Chris Olakpe, narrated how an eight-month-old baby was turned into a commodity, sold and re-sold by different buyers.
Parading the suspects at the state police headquarters, Olakpe said grandmother of the baby, Kate Anwacha, first allegedly sold her to Eucharia Anyeagbu for N200,000. Eucharia allegedly added her own profit margin and re-sold the baby to Rita Madubuko for N330,000.
The second buyer eventually allegedly sold the baby for N500,000 to one Grace Nnadozie from whom the baby was eventually “recovered” by the police in Awka, Anambra State.
According to the commissioner, the mother of the baby, Blessing Godspower, had lodged a complaint that her mother (Kate Anwacha) sent her on an errand and sold her baby, Chiamaka Obinna, before she returned.
He added that police detectives from ‘A’ Division, Jos recovered the baby from the last buyer in Anambra State last week.
According to the CP, the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.

Police nab housewife over hubby’s death
Also paraded were a 17-year-old housewife who allegedly murdered her 26-year-old husband and four suspects alleged to have killed a cattle boy and plucked out his eyes for ritual purposes.
The housewife, Maryam Yahaya, allegedly stabbed her husband, Lawal Bala, a butcher, on the neck while sleeping at their home in Gangare area of Jos, on July 9, killing him in the process.
He added that the wife who was arrested for questioning eventually confessed to the crime.

Man arrested with human eyes
Olakpe said one Tacha Tali was arrested with two human eyes last Friday and he later confessed that they belonged to a cattle boy at Shwar village in Kanke Local Government Area of the state who initially went missing while he took cattle for grazing.

His decomposing body was later found with the two eyes removed. Tali’s confessional statement later led to the arrest of his two accomplices and the herbalist alleged to have demanded for the eyes.
Ten other suspects were paraded for alleged robbery while 11 vehicles recovered by the police in the last one month were also on display.
Olakpe called for continuous cooperation from the public in the effort to bring criminal activities to the barest minimum in the state.
